All Boxed Up - a Pretty/Spooky Halloween Party

Hey Ghoul! Halloween is around the corner and we have some tips on how to put together a BOO-tiful party for your little frights!

If you are a busy Mom like we are, you need some quick and easy food to appease your little ghouls growling tummies.

Try these adorable (and delicious) snacks!

Banana Ghosts and Tangerine Pumpkins - not only are these snacks healthy, but they are just so frightfully cute! For Ghosts - simply cut bananas in half and use mini chocolate chips for eyes and regular chocolate chips for mouth. For pumpkins - peel tangerines (or Cuties) and place a small piece of cut celery in the top. Easy peasy orange/pumpkin squeezy!

Your spooktacular party will certainly need some potion…

Try this easy green potion. (Fans of Harry Potter may want to call it Polyjuice Potion.) All you need is a little Sprite, lime sherbet and green food coloring to make the green really pop!

And what party would be complete with out sweets, treats and more sweets!

Halloween Candy Bark - line a baking sheet with waxed paper, follow instructions on candy melts, pour into pan and top with sprinkles, chocolates, candies, cookies. Let sit at room temp to harden, break apart, and serve.

Monster Krispies - make a batch of Rice Krispie treats (or cheat and buy the pre-packaged) and cut into rectangles, follow instructions on candy melts, line a baking sheet with waxed paper, dip ends of treats in melted candy, lay on waxed paper and top with edible eye candies. Let sit at room temp to harden.

Spider Cookies - make a batch of chocolate chip cookies (or cheat and buy them at the store), use chocolate icing to make spider legs on the cookies and top with a Reece’s Peanut butter cup. Place a bit of icing on two edible eyes and place on the front side of the cup.

Witches Hats - turn a Fudge Striped cookie upside down, place a quarter sized dollop of orange icing in the center (enough to cover the hole in the cookie) and top with a Hershey’s kiss.

Vampire Donuts - these little guys make us giggle. Take store bought donuts, pop in some vampire fangs and add chocolate chip eyes. Eeek and yum!

And lastly, are your little monsters calling for cupcakes??? Use store bought cupcakes, add a cute black & white wrapper and a little ghost candy (we picked these up from Joann Fabric and Crafts) and your spooks will be on a sugar high!
