It's so 65 million years ago to have to hunt around to find everything you need....
So we have curated a totally prehistoric Party in a Box that any dinosaur fan is sure to love!
We had so much fun prepping to present our brand new Dinosaur Party in a Box. We decided to shoot the items outdoors in a natural space to really showcase the bright orange and green decor we chose to incorporate along with the adorable dinos featured in Meri Meri's garland and plates.
Triassic, Jurassic, Cretaceous....it doesn't matter, everyone came to party in this box. Each dino is featured on a pennant and a plate to share a little bit about themselves.
Unique tableware such as natural fiber divided trays, french square milk bottles and eco-friendly flatware add a special touch to this party.
A jumbo Apatosaurus balloon and some additional dinosaur elements such as cupcake toppers and skeletal table decor bring it all together.
The gender neutral color scheme is perfect for boy or girl so if your little paleontologist is ready to party visit our Etsy shop.
Looking for a last minute Valentine gift or need a little treat for after dinner with your sweetheart? Try this super easy S'mores pot!
Gather the following ingredients:
- A super cute little mason jar...or any jar with a wide opening. (You could even use a bowl if you are having a super chill V-day and that is all you have lying around.)
- Hersheys milk chocolate bars - 2 large or 8 minis
- Marshmallows...yum! We used strawberry heart-shaped ones for a little Valentine's flair but the puffy white ones work too.
- Graham crackers or cookies...for dipping!
Next, place the chocolate in the jar (if you are using bars, break up in small pieces) and pop it in the microwave. Utilize your microwave's "Melt" setting and choose chocolate (if available). Two large bars or 8 minis are about 6 ounces. Your microwave should automatically set for approximately 4.5 minutes.
*Helpful Hint: spray the inside of the jar with cooking spray to keep the chocolate from sticking and easier clean-up.
After chocolate is melted, add marshmallows (about 10 small or 5 large) and pop it back in the microwave for 30 seconds. Marshmallows will puff and grow and get all gooey and delicious!
Add some colored sugar, sprinkles, cookie crumbles, chocolate shavings.... and grab your dippers! We used both honey and chocolate graham crackers...equally yum!
If you are looking to gift these tiny jars of deliciousness, then pile in the chocolate bar pieces and marshmallows and pop on the lid. Wrap with some cute ribbon and gift away!
Lou & Pepper have been busy bees! We are SO excited to present our first Party In a Box Collection for 2017!
Unicorns! Unicorns! Unicorns!
Our Unicorn Party In a Box is playful, colorful and COOL!
Unicorns are universally loved and we wanted to put a collection together that can be enjoyed at any age and for any occasion. It is the perfect Box for birthday parties, baby showers and more!
Typically Unicorn parties are decorated in pastel colors but we fell in love with the bright neon colors in this collection so we thought we'd take in a more non-traditional route.
We paired the Unicorn dessert plates with a larger aqua plate and rainbow napkins. Bright yellow pinwheels, colorful marble balloons and a large Unicorn balloon bring the decor together. The Unicorn Garland is a party in itself! Sparkly, colorful and whimsical.
What would a party be without a little glitter? The gold glitter runner, gold star straws and the gold scallop cups bring out the small gold accents on the dessert plates and add shine to your table!
We included glitter Unicorn horns with neon tassels, after all, what would a Unicorn party be without Unicorn horns? They add a playful touch that kids (and adults, we won’t judge) will love to wear.
All the bright colors in this box make us think of candy! The candy sticks and giant gumballs are delicious and gorgeous too. Adding candy is a great way to liven up a dessert or cake table, with so may colors and shapes available you can't go wrong!
Simply put, this box is MAGICAL!
We believe in Unicorns, do you?
Our Unicorn box will now available in our Etsy shop, check it out!
p.s. Need more Neon in your life? We can Curate our Unicorn Party In a Box into a retro neon party. Give us a shout if you’d like us to create a Custom Party In A Box for you!

Hello Fellow Partiers!
We are so excited to share with you our first blog post for Lou & Pepper!
Fittingly, our first post is a tutorial on how to create the pinwheel wall from our first photo shoot for L&P.
Our goal was to create a beautiful and artistic background set in a natural space and, most importantly, make it something that anyone can do with a few supplies and little elbow grease!
Creating a focal point at a party brings the theme to life! It is a perfect place to set the cake or dessert table (yum!) and simultaneously creates a fantastic photo backdrop.
The finished product...Yay!
Here is what we used:
- Assorted Foil Pinwheels – we got ours @shopsweetlulu – we love these because they are sturdy enough to reuse
- Colorful Paper Pinwheels
- Tissue Tassel Garland
- Tissue Bunting - we got ours @orientaltrading
- Double sided tape and/or glue dots
The most important task is figuring out what colors to choose. Selecting a variety of complimentary colors and textures adds complexity and depth which is important, especially when taking photos.
We placed the biggest fans first, moved on to the next size and so on. In order to secure the pinwheels we used the existing string along with double sided tape. This allowed us to secure them together and create the layered effect. The branches and the leaves were helpful for this!
TIP: Save all the packaging for the pinwheels! When the party is over, gently take them down and put them back in their packages for easy storage.
Thanks for reading along! We can’t wait to see where this journey takes us.
